National Committee: Immediate Policy Changes

In recent years, youth membership in the Order of the Arrow has declined significantly — down 18 percent since 2015. These changes have impacted lodges, and their ability to support councils and deliver program.

2018 OA Innovation Award Recipients

2018 E. Urner Goodman Camping Award Recipients

The E. Urner Goodman Camping Award was established in 1969 as a tribute and testimonial to the Order's founder. Its purpose is to encourage and challenge Order of the Arrow members and lodges to improve their effectiveness in promoting and supporting Scout camping in their council.

2018 National Service Award Recipients

The Order of the Arrow is pleased to announce the selection of eight lodges for the National Service Award. Established in 1999, the National Service Award recognizes up to two lodges in each region that have performed outstanding qualitative and quantitative service for their council.

In the summer of 1992, three young Arrowmen had an idea that would soon change the Order of the Arrow as a whole, envisioning a service program at Philmont Scout Ranch for OA members. At its inception in 1995, the program was intended to be run for only one summer and only one project.
