Dear section leaders,

Thank you for your continued commitment to our centennial celebration. Between preparations for ArrowTour, the National Order of the Arrow Conference and local festivities, there are many hands – and hearts – hard at work to ensure that this year is memorable for all of us.

As you know, the National Order of the Arrow Committee has collected inscribed rocks from each lodge as part of the 2015 Legacy Project. These rocks will be used in the construction of the Summit Circle, the Order of the Arrow’s new ceremonial grounds at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Recently, the project was expanded to provide alumni with the opportunity to recognize legacy lodges, or lodges which may have merged or are no longer in existence, with a rock. We are pleased to share that the deadline for submitting legacy lodge rocks has been extended due to the overwhelming interest demonstrated by Arrowmen and alumni throughout the country. Legacy lodge rocks may be submitted to National Chairman Ray Capp through June 1st, 2015.

Alumni may create and submit their own rock or order one from Artistic Monuments, the Order of the Arrow’s Summit Circle rock partner. Those who wish to order a legacy lodge rock from Artistic Monuments must do so by May 1st, 2015.

Instructions on how to submit rocks and how to submit orders to Artistic Monuments are available on the national Order of the Arrow website at https://oa-bsa.org/100th.

We need your help to share the news of this opportunity with legacy lodge alumni around the nation. Please work with your council of chiefs to identify legacy lodges in your area, find alumni to assist in carrying out the project, and communicate this opportunity to them.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Brett Warner, legacy project lead adviser, at @email with any questions.

Thank you for helping us recognize those who have made our first century of service significant.

Yours in Service,
