ACT Conference Serves as a Valuable Resource for Lodges and Sections

It is important now more than ever that we provide support to the lodges. Like all of us, timelines have changed and we are being faced with unprecedented circumstances. This is a great time for you, our section leaders, to provide continued support for your lodges within your section. Working on developing your ACT Conference, could be a great way in doing so. Being able to provide your lodges with best practices, whether in person or virtually, will give them the tools to be able to thrive and will encourage critical thinking in the face of the challenges they face.

For those of you who are not yet familiar with the resources at your disposal, the ACT Conference has a developed framework for you to use when planning your own conference. The Management Guidebook is a great tool that can be utilized to make sure that the appropriate steps are taken to host a successful conference! This is not to say that you can’t make the event your own, as a matter of fact, it is encouraged! There are also resources available at your disposal to help show your appreciation to anyone who assisted with the ACT Conference.

The overall program of the ACT Conference helps introduce everyone to the purpose of the conference, the Performance Measurement Program and takes time to highlight the three different metrics that are being used as measurements throughout the program. This is a great opportunity to answer any questions that the lodges may have. Not only this, but the conference is designed for the lodges to self-evaluate, encourage critical thinking and develop a plan to have their lodge thrive!
