Q. Does a Scout need to be present during the unit elections to have his name on the OA ballot, if he meets the other requirements?

A. There is no national requirement that a youth needs be present to be elected by his peers. If all the requirements are met, his name should appear on the ballot.

Refer to the Membership Requirements and Unit Requirements section of the Guide for Officers and Advisers for more information.
