Q. How did the national committee decide on Michigan State University as the site of the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference?

A. The national committee is preparing to host the largest NOAC in history as part of the Centennial celebration of the Order of the Arrow. Finding the right site, which meets the needs of our guests and ensures the best conference experience for everyone, is a complicated process that includes a lot of criteria. For instance, we look at a site's capacity (for 2015 we need a venue that can accommodate 10,000 Arrowmen), location (something accessible to as many Arrowmen as possible), and facilities.

Above all else, the committee wanted to hold the conference at a location that is familiar to our staff and guests. Because our national events staff already has a strong relationship with the staff at Michigan State University, we can continue working with the university to improve upon the 2012 conference experience. Our goal is to host the best, largest and most memorable NOAC in the Order's history to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow and MSU is the best venue for us to achieve this goal.
