Q. Dear Ray,
Our troop visited the Jamboree. It was wonderful. On our trip, we spent four nights camping, then two nights in a hotel, then two nights camping.

I understand now that the four nights won't qualify as a long-term camp out, but can we combine the six nights into a long-term camp out since it was all one trip?

Or is it two separate short-term camp outs consisting of a two-nighter and a four-nighter?

Thanks,
LaRue

A. LaRue,
Thanks for your question. It would be considered two short term camp outs, separated by a visit to civilization.

Yours in Scouting,
Ray
