Does time spent camping as a Cub Scout leader meet the adult requirements for OA membership? Someone could have spent years as a Cub Scout leader and then become a Scout leader and after attending summer camp meet the camping requirement. It appears that the camping requirement may be one of the more difficult ones to meet for an adult. I searched for the answer and couldn't find it. Forgive me if it's out there.

Thanks for your note. The most recently adopted revised camping requirement states:
Have experienced 15 nights of Scout camping while registered with a troop or team within the two years immediately prior to the election. The 15 nights must include one, but no more than one, long-term camp consisting of at least five consecutive nights of overnight camping, approved and under the auspices and standards of the Boy Scouts of America. Only five nights of the long-term camp may be credited toward the 15-night camping requirement; the balance of the camping (10 nights) must be overnight, weekend, or other short-term camps of, at most, three nights each.
The National Order of the Arrow Committee published new requirements that have made it clear that camping done while registered as a Cub Scout or Cub Scout leader does not count towards OA eligibility. This is addressed in the Guide to Unit Elections on page 20.
