Cortland Bolles, Incoming National Director

Members of the National Committee, and Section and Lodge Key 3 Leaders:

We are pleased to share that Cortland Bolles has been selected to serve as the next National Director of the Order of the Arrow (OA), effective December 05, 2022. Cortland is currently the Director of Field Service for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Three Harbors Council located in Milwaukee.

Cortland comes into the Directorship with outstanding credentials and a deep passion for the Order. In addition to his 21 years of service as a BSA professional in Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin, Cortland knows the OA intimately from his time as a lodge chief, OA Trail Crew Director, and Distinguished Service Award recipient. We are excited to welcome him and his partner, Brock, back into the OA family as they settle into Dallas.

With the conclusion of a successful National Order of the Arrow Conference in August, we remain focused on executing the core tenets of the OA’s 2022-2023 National Business Plan: delivering strong membership experiences and supporting lodges. Cortland will be a critical partner and leader in this effort, and we hope you will get to know him as he becomes a familiar presence at OA events and programming in the next year.

Yours in Scouting,

Chris Grove
