The 2023 National Jamboree, held July 19-28, 2023, marked OA Alliance’s introduction to the national theater of Scouting. It was an exciting opportunity to showcase the OA Alliance program, support Operation Arrow, the Order of the Arrow’s flagship program at the jamboree, and contribute to the OA endowment.

Five OA Alliance staff members bore the West Virginia summer heat while operating a booth in the BSA Alumni Association tent which was held in conjunction with the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) tent. The team distributed over 1,300 OA Alliance stickers, sold 186 commemorative patch sets which equates to over $25,000 contribution to the OA endowment and recruited over 270 alumni interested in OA Alliance. This was also a key opportunity to gauge feedback from other Scouters. Additionally, the team helped to coordinate talks in the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) tent with featured guests including the national OA chair, national OA director and the 2023 OA national officers. OA Alliance staff at the jamboree also supported Operation Arrow by sponsoring the Eastern and Gateway Region rallies.

Overall, the OA Alliance’s presence at the 2023 National Jamboree was an exciting opportunity to get the word out about OA Alliance, contribute to the OA endowment and engage future members.
