On November 15, 2015 the Boy Scouts of America announced that Travis Rubelee will succeed Matt Dukeman as the next OA associate director on January 1st, 2016.

Travis grew up in the Scouting program in Duncanville, TX, and is a Vigil Honor member from Mikanakawa Lodge in the Circle Ten Council. As a youth, Travis served as chapter chief, lodge vice chief, and lodge chief. Since 2003, he has been a professional Scouter in multiple roles in four different councils (Dallas, TX, Lubbock, TX, Tyler, TX, and most recently Greensboro, NC). One of his favorite roles in Scouting was serving as section staff adviser for SR2-3N and working with the youth of 10 lodges spanning 2 states.

The reason he chose the Scouting profession is due to the experiences he had in the OA as a youth. As a second generation Eagle Scout, his drive is to give a small portion back to Scouting because it has made such a profound influence on his life. Travis and his wife Katy have two young children, Sara and future Scout Ryan.

Congratulations, Travis!
