Like most teenagers these days, Josh Blohm of Kishahtek Lodge sits down in front of a computer and boots up the Internet. However, Josh was doing much more than just surfing the web. He was learning the basics of website design and creating a web template through Adobe Muse. Today, he stands as lodge chief of Kishahtek Lodge, overseeing the functions and programs of the lodge as well as managing the new lodge website.

For a long time, Kishahtek Lodge had its own website managed by an older Arrowman. As time passed by however, that Arrowman had to pass down the position of web communications chair. Josh saw the opportunity to present a new design of the lodge website that he had been working on for a while as a side-project. With the right timing, Josh presented the new design to his lodge executive committee members. Soon enough, the new website was launched and has been operating since last May.

There was positive feedback from all over the lodge, as well as the section. Those giving shout-outs to Josh include his adviser, Elliot Patton, and the original communications chair who started it all.

Josh learned a lot about creating web content and the concept of building a legacy, especially with today’s technological advances. His work does not stop there though: “Right now, Facebook is taking over, with people expecting to find all the answers on there,” said Josh. “In the end, people go on the website for registration for lodge events. I want our website to be the frontrunner of technology and in front of everyone else’s. Technology is endless!”
