Two new resources have been posted to the national website to assist lodges and chapters in earning their 2014 Journey to Excellence (JTE) recognition.
JTE is a program of continuous improvement where lodges and are given benchmarks in seventeen different categories. Since the program's implementation in 2011, the national OA committee has been able to gain insight in the strengths and weaknesses of lodges across the country, and begin adjusting programs to help lodges improve. For 2014, the benchmarks in each requirement have been adjusted to reflect the scores received the past two years; gold level represents information from the top 10% of lodges, silver the top 50%, and bronze the top 80%.
- Lodge JTE petition and workbook: this form is contains both an update of all the JTE requirements for 2014, and a workbook to help lodges track progress and compute projected scores in each category. This form is not suitable for submission.
- Chapter JTE workbook: this form is new for 2014. It contains the updated chapter JTE requirements, but has placed them in a workbook that chapters may use in consultation with lodge leadership to establish goals, track progress, and achieve JTE recognition.
More information on these resources is in the Journey to Excellence Program Section.
