OAHA Last Chance

Still struggling to find an amazing adventure as the summer rapidly approaches? Well, don’t worry, because the Order of the Arrow High Adventure (OAHA) program still has a few spots left for those Arrowmen seeking a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This program is available at all four high adventure bases and offers its own unique opportunities that cannot be found elsewhere!

With a huge focus on our core principles of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service, OAHA is the perfect choice for every Arrowman. Youth Arrowmen from all over the country, each with their own background, personality, and skills come together to form a crew that they will be with for the entirety of the trip. The strong bonds of brotherhood are truly formed amongst your crew and lifelong friendships are commonly developed along the trek. This special camaraderie is a major element of what makes this program so great. Participants also get a great chance to give back in service to Scouting and the community. Whether it’s through trail building, helping out on ecological projects, or restoring a Civil War-era fort, all will feel fulfillment in the important work that they are providing and will be able to take part in something bigger than themselves.

OAHA provides experiences unique from all other high adventure programs. Along with the elements of service and forming new friendships with Arrowmen from around the country, OAHA gives its participants the special ability to take the lead in choosing their own adventure. After their service obligation is complete, participants are able to decide what they want to do for the rest of their trek. Building your own trek at Philmont, whitewater rafting at Summit, scuba diving at Sea Base, or canoeing at Northern Tier are all options for OAHA participants! Paths, distance, and daily activities are all up to the Arrowmen and allow them to create their own distinct adventure that they will cherish. Additionally, OAHA excursions come at a significantly lower price, providing great value to participants. Scholarships are also available to help cover the costs of attendance and travel. Contact your local lodge leadership for more information on available scholarships!

Limited spots are still available for Trail Crew, Ocean Adventure, and Summit Experience, so register today at registration.oa-bsa.org!
