Are you ready to embark on a once in a lifetime opportunity at the 2018 National Order of the Arrow Conference? The Adventure Central team needs YOU! If you are interested in volunteering some time on staff as a contingent member, this subcommittee is in need of over 150 contingent members to become volunteer staff members at NOAC and work alongside the core staff members to deliver to other participants everything that each and every one of these incredible activity areas have to offer.
As a member of the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service, we’re giving you the chance to give back and help out in the most exciting and memorable way possible: shaping the experience for your fellow Arrowmen! As a part of the Volunteer Staff team, you will have the exquisite opportunity to see up close what really happens behind the scenes at STEM and conservation or you can get down and dirty with your fellow staffers at bouldering, spar pole climbing, and other amazing outdoor activities! Help Arrowmen practice to perfect their sharpshooting skills with the airsoft rifles or tomahawk throwing! Get the participant and staff experience all in one at this highlight event of the summer!
Your sacrifice and determination to serve cheerfully and give back to the program will not go unnoticed. Every volunteer staff member that volunteers for at least one afternoon is eligible to receive a special edition exclusive volunteer staff patch. If you decide that you want to stay for the entire week, you will be adopted by the Adventure Central Staff as a core staff member and will receive an Adventure Central Core Staff Patch. Once again, you can still obtain one of these special patches by giving up just a few hours on one of the short afternoons on-site. You will still have time to attend classes, trade patches, hang out with old friends, and meet new brothers from around the country! You will find that giving your time up to help serve others will create a bond like no other between you and your brothers on staff together. If you want to take your NOAC experience to the next level, this opportunity is the one for you!
