Youth to adult ratio

Lodge contingents to the 1998 NOAC will be held to a 2 youth to 1 adult ratio. All contingents smaller than 5 (including adults) are authorized a minimum of 2 adult spaces so the contingent can keep within the youth protection standards. Rounding up for computing the youth to adult ratio is correct (e.g. 5 youth:3 adults, 6 youth:3 adults, 7 youth:4 adults, etc.). Those lodges which had more than the maximum number of adults in your registration should note that these positions have not been approved but have been held under the assumption that your contingent is working on filling the missing youth spots to correct the ratio. Exceptions may be made for any contingent with special needs, such as necessary care givers for special needs arrowmen, by contacting Clyde Mayer at the National Office.
