Staff members to recruit | The Mysterium Compass 150 | OA Indian Village 10
Order of the Arrow to recruit 160 additional staff for
2010 National Scout Jamboree
Dear Section Key 3,
At the 2009 National Order of the Arrow Planning Meeting, each section chief was challenged by the National OA Promotions Team to recruit at least 3 additional staff members to serve on the Order of the Arrow staff at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree.
The Mysterium Compass is recruiting staff to serve as game managers, ushers, audio-video and lighting crew, stage managers, special effects operators, actors, guides, and carpenters to build, stage and manage one of the Jamboree’s newest programs. The Order of Arrow Indian Village is recruiting youth dancers to perform at the OA Indian Village and throughout the Jamboree. An additional 160 staff are needed to staff these two programs.
To accomplish this:
- Section Chiefs will recruit at least 3 additional Arrowmen and ask them to register through the staff registration process at www.myscouting.org. Arrowmen wishing to staff The Mysterium Compass will also need to register at www.themysteriumcompass.org.
- The names and contact information of each Arrowmen recruited and registered shall be sent to the National OA Promotions Team at nept@oa-bsa.org.
- Each Region Chief will follow up with the status of recruitment with their Section Chiefs via a telephone call.
- OA Jamboree staff recruitment will be completed once all 150 staff members are recruited.
The first 10 section chiefs to notify the National OA Promotions Team at nept@oa-bsa.org with the names of three Arrowmen who have registered from their section for the OA Jamboree programs will receive two Jamboree related patches: A 2010 National Scout Jamboree Order of the Arrow patch and a 2010 National Scout Jamboree Order of the Arrow staff patch.
Arrowmen can learn how to register and find out more information about the Order of the Arrow at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree at www.event.oa-bsa.org.
Should you have any questions, please contact the National OA Promotions Team at nept@oa-bsa.org.
We look forward to working with you to recruit our 160 additional staff members for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree.
Sincerely,
Brad Lichota and Will Swingle
National Chief and National Vice Chief
