The Mysterium Compass at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree: Youthful Staff Needed!

The 2010 Jamboree will be infused with a "heightened reality" of intrigue, mystery, adventure and air conditioning.  That’s right, air conditioning!  Oh, and gigantic waterslides… and obstacle courses… and more!  So, grab your mom, dad, dog or crazy uncle, sit down at a laptop near you, and apply now to serve on what will literally be the “coolest” staff at the 2010 National Jamboree!

What is it?

It’s an absorbing and interactive experience with loads of stimulating fun and crazy stunts that test your ability to stay cool under pressure while racing from one station to the next in search of the Mysterium Compass. It blends life lessons with improvisational actors, theatrical props and special effects.  With superior interaction to the Wii, better graphics than the PS3 and a message that will change the way you play the game of life, getting lost has never been more fun!

Why me?

The Mysterium Compass will require a huge staff of youthful Arrowmen, both youth and adults, to bring Scouting’s message to life.  Some of these roles include game managers, ushers, audio-video and lighting crew, stage managers, special effects operators, actors, lifeguards and carpenters to build, stage and manage the newest program at the National Jamboree.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience as the Order of the Arrow combines elements of video gaming with theme-park style immersion, actors, and theatrical settings to deliver Scouting’s message!

College Kids Get Big Youth Discount!

We need both youth and youthful adults to make Mysterium Compass a success. “Youth” staff members qualify for a major discount!  You must have been born between July 26, 1984 and July 26, 1994, and be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America to qualify.  So, if you are 16-25, your registration fee will be cut in half!  The registration site is accessible through www.MyScouting.org.
