In less than nine months, over 40,000 Scouts and troop leaders will arrive at Fort A.P. Hill in Caroline County, Virginia, for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.

The Order of the Arrow Service Corps will be providing cheerful service all over the Jamboree supporting its program for the Scouts and leaders. From serving as an aide to the Chief Scout Executive, to filming with Boys’ Life, and working at a region action center, the areas in which Arrowmen work are endless. Come be a part of it.

Founded in 1950, the OA Service Corps has provided the example for how Arrowmen should act and cheerfully serve others. The Service Corps seeks to provide servant leadership through cheerful service to the program areas of the Jamboree. Over 150 Arrowmen are needed to serve the Jamboree.

The OA Service Corps needs youth who are willing to serve and are under the age of 21 through the end of the Jamboree. Youth serving on the Jamboree staff can attend the 2010 National Scout Jamboree for $397.50 (ages 15-25).

Registering for the OA Service Corps for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree Staff

1. Point your browser to MyScouting.org
2. Log in using your MyScouting username, if you have not created a user account yet you will need to find your BSA Person ID number, by contacting your unit or your council office or finding this on your BSA membership card. Once you have located your BSA ID, click here or go to https://myscouting.scouting.org/_layouts/MyScouting/Register.aspx to create your account.
3. Once you have successfully logged in you should click the "Event Registration" link
4. After clicking "Event Registration" click "National Scout Jamboree" - the link will open in a new window.
5. Click the top link titled 2010 National Scout Jamboree Staff Application
6. Answer the appropriate/required questions. Once all questions have been answered click the continue button.
7. On the next screen continue answering the required questions. Once all questions have been answered click continue.
8. Be sure to select OA Events as your desired staff position for all three options and then designate Troop 5500 in your application and state you want to work for the Service Corps.
9. Continue step 7 until you reach the payment options. Pay and your registration will be placed in the national staff queue.
