Chad Wolver is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of Wipala Wiki Lodge of the Grand Canyon Council. Wolver hails from Tempe, Arizona and attends Arizona State University where he majors in economics and mass communication. Before being elected region chief, Wolver was the section chief of W-4C. He also held the positions of lodge chief, lodge vice chief of inductions, and chapter chief. Outside of Scouting, Chad likes to backpack, mountain bike, write, collect geodes and solve Sudoku puzzles. Before the Summit began, Wolver attended OA Trail Crew and OA Wilderness Voyage back-to-back. His most memorable experiences of the trips were paddling over 125 miles in four days to reach the Grand Portage, the longest portage in the Boundary Waters, and summiting the tallest peaks at Philmont, Little Costilla and Mt. Baldy, in less than 36 hours. Wolver was most looking forward to the region cafes and gatherings at the Summit. He is excited “to meet and hang out with a lot of new lodge chiefs from my region and to see some old friends that I have met in the past couple of years.”
