Central Region Chief Don Hough hails from Arlington Heights, Illinois, where he is a member of Lakota Lodge of the Northwest Suburban Council. Before being elected region chief, Hough served as the section chief of C-3B. He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member. Hough has also served the Order as lodge chief, lodge vice-chief, section secretary, and as chairman of numerous lodge committees. Hough has thoroughly enjoyed his term as region chief. When asked to comment on his most memorable experience, he responded, “I have enjoyed the road trips to other lodges and sections. Nothing gets me more excited than the ability to learn from other people across my region and to see what the heart and soul of this Order does.” Hough is looking forward to the unveiling of the Order’s 2008-2012 Strategic Plan at the Summit as well as “taking advantage of any chance I get to meet Arrowmen from across the nation.” Hough attends Harper College where he is pursuing a major in education. Outside of Scouting, Hough enjoys football, skiing, and track and field.
