Northeast Region Chief Kenneth Hager is a member of Wagion Lodge of the Westmoreland Fayette Council.
Hager is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member. Before being elected region chief, he served as the section chief of NE-4B. His past OA leadership positions include lodge chief; NOAC shows staff, and NLS staff. Hager also worked on summer camp staff for five years.
Hager attends the California University of Pennsylvania where he is majoring in secondary education for social studies. In his free time, Ken enjoys theatre, reading, and camping.
He spent his summer traversing the Northeast Region, where he attended four conclaves, before heading to Philmont to participate in OA Trail Crew. Earlier this year, he was on staff at the National Leadership Seminars in Japan and Puerto Rico, and besides these NLS' being his favorite events of the year, Ken remarked it is great that our organization can provide training for everyone, even those who seem to be out of reach.
When questioned about his expectations of the Summit, he responded I believe the Summit provides everyone with the opportunity to get to know one another on a more personal level. Unlike a NOAC where there are many thousands of people running around, the Summit is a closer knit affair among the top leadership from many lodges across the nation. I am looking forward to working with lodges and hanging out with lodge leaders during the evening events.
