Brothers,

            Welcome to the 2007 National Conservation and Leadership Summit. As you progress down this summit’s path, soak in the information that is available to you. This is a rare opportunity to learn from the Arrowmen who wrote the new national strategic plan on how to effectively serve our councils and communities. During this same time we will also work on our outdoor knowledge as we prepare for ArrowCorps5. Both aspects of Summit play major roles in the future success of the Order of the Arrow. What we get to do this week is a great opportunity to continue the service that we have been providing for over ninety years.

            The Summit Planning Committee has put a lot of hard work and time into this event so that we may all learn, develop as leaders and grow closer in our brotherhood of cheerful service. This week will require hard work but in return there will be lots of fun and brotherhood provided by each of our summit committees. Let us not forget why we are here, to learn to better serve our fellow scouts and Arrowmen so that they may experience the same opportunities that we have given. Keep up the great work and we look forward to meeting each of you throughout the week.
