The fourth week of ArrowCorps5 service will take place at the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in California from July 12-19, 2008. This forest boasts a picturesque landscape filled with granite peaks and cliffs, canyons, glaciers, rock pinnacles, and magnificent lakes. This region is home to nearly 1,400 miles of trail and the beautiful Lake Shasta, a great waterskiing spot. The projects at this site will consist of trail maintenance, illegal dump-site reduction, and fuel reduction operations. In addition, Arrowmen will help to reconstruct water bars and erosion protection structures, re-mark trails, and improve trail treading. The final division of volunteers will be responsible for building a new South Gate trail to stretch approximately 1.1 miles along the north end of the Mt. Shasta city. Arrowmen will have the opportunity to explore the area and enjoy the numerous bodies of water through the forest for activities such as hiking, swimming, canoeing."It has to be Shasta"
