The Founders' Day Pow Wow is one of the most dramatic of the Founders Day events. With over 200 participants, all in impressive costume, the show was amazing. The Pow Wow started outside, but was soon forced inside the Stephens Auditorium due to rain.
The Pow Wow began with the Grand Entrance of the participants, followed by the Flag Song, honoring the American Flag. Then, several intertribal dances were performed, and then the tribute dance to honor the "head lady", "head man" and "elders." Then the head lady gave gifts to the dancers who she felt made an impression on the Pow Wow.
There were several more dances, during which the dancers performed gracefully and passionately.. All the participants gave their best, as the Pow Wow closed everyone was already starting to prepare for the next NOAC.
