2000 National Planning Meeting
Each December, all the section chiefs are invited to attend a
National Planning Meeting, held near Dallas, Texas. During this
event, they elect the national officers for the coming year, and
plan for the upcoming program of emphasis. The National
Order of the Arrow Committee also meets during this time. Section
and Area Advisers also attended the planning meeting, to learn about
new OA programs and discuss issues.
From December 28 to 31, 2000, the chiefs met, elected the 2001
national officers, and began detailed planning for the OA programs
at the 2001 National Scout Jamboree. They also reviewed the 2000 National
OA Conference, and brainstormed ideas and concepts for future NOACs.
