Order of the Arrow Approved was an Official Certifying Organization
The Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America
was approved as an Official Certifying Organization for the President's
Volunteer Service Award in 2008. Arrowmen were asked to track their volunteer
service under the OA's record of service key. The OA is no longer participating
in this program, but does encourage Arrowmen that would like to track their
hours of service to go to www.presidentialserviceawards.gov
and create an online profile.
In 2008, President George W. Bush recognized three youth leaders
at the Shasta-Trinity project with the presidential service award.
The Order would like to thank all Arrowmen that participated in this program
for their countless hours of service!
